Before the Venezuelan crisis, José G. Velásquez was a budding young model, making a name for himself in the world of Venezuela modeling. He was featured in numerous campaigns and fashion shows, including those for designer Carlos Aguilar, and later took part in an Underwear/Sportswear launch for Colombian designer Ángel Yañez.
