NEWS: October 2024 José starts Filmmaking & Documentary courses at UEMC & LENS, Madrid.

When José took a basic 4-day Photography course in July 2023, it was meant to be a fun summer activity to help him operate a Canon 550D & improve the quality of his Instagram & TikTok content. However, this little course had a more profound effect on him. It was like a spark which lit his passion for photography and, surprisingly, a love for editing!

By October 2023, José had become a Part-time student at LENS school of visual arts in Madrid. Attending courses in Photography, Videography and Post-production. His teachers included Lúa Fisher, Daniel Merino, Eva García Herrero & Rafael Trapiello. 

In October 2024, he became a Full-time student,  enrolled in a professional Filmmaking (UEMC) course & a Documentary Cinema course at LENS, Madrid.

Below are highlights of his school assignments, extra curricular & independent projects:

It is always amazing to see what photography students start to achieve once they learn how to shoot in manual mode & use artificial sources of light. It is also interesting to see how a photographer evolves & starts to develop their own style. Because theories & technical skills can be taught, but creativity & motivation can only come from within each individual.   

What photography will José lean towards? Fashion, sport, portrait, street, still life, architecture, landscape ... documentary? What kind of film making? No one knows yet. But considering how broad his areas of interest are, it's anyone's guess. Can you tell by looking at these images?

Now seems to be the beginning of a very exciting chapter in José's life. A period of growth,  creativity & transformation. We see the potential in José & wish him every success!
